This 1968 Dodge Charger R/T is a striking example of classic American muscle, with its sweeping fastback profile, hidden-headlight grille, and bright blue finish. One of the most recognizable cars ever made, this project came to us needing some reliability in the stopping, and the going.
Holley Sniper Conversion
We subtly installed a Holley Sniper onto this massive 440 block to ensure that it smoothly starts rain or shine. An EFI system can make even the most finicky old car into a stress-free grocery-getter. The transformation of normal driving on this particular car with a large cam was quite the improvement.
Modern Disk Brake
Chargers were known for going fast, but not stopping well. This was especially the case for this car when we got it. We remediated that by installing a modern braking system on all 4 corners. Now this giant car stops as well as it goes.
Reliable Head Turner
Now with these usability improvements and a few more tweaks, this car is able to be driven regularly and turns heads more than just about any car that has come through the shop.
